Big Squid : Courses : Deep Diver
After completing the course you will receive a PADI Deep Diver certification card allowing you to participate in Deep Diving activities world-wide.
Content
The Deep Diver course comprises 4 open water dives; these are conducted over at least 2 days.
On this course you will learn how to prepare for deep diving and will develop your dive knowledge and practical skills.

During the course we will be covering

  • Planning, organisation, techniques, procedures and hazard anticipation involved in deep diving.
  • Use of decompression tables and risk factors
  • Decompression procedures and safety stops
  • Use of special equipment, decent lines and buoyancy- control considerations
  • Procedures for flying after diving
  • Understanding how a recompression chamber work
Designed For
To qualify as a Deep Diver you must be at least 15 years old and possess a PADI Advanced Open Water diver, certification or equivalent.
Length
Usually over at least 2 days. Locations for this course include Portland, Stony Cove, Wraysbury, and the Red Sea or at another Big Squid overseas destination.
Cost

Training in the UK £225 (PADI Deep Diver speciality manual, tanks, weights and all equipment) There is a £20 refundable deposit to be paid on booking, for the course DVD which should be returned to us on completion of the course , there is also an option to purchase this DVD

Training abroad: £195 (includes PADI Deep Diver speciality manual, tanks, weights and all equipment)
