Welcome to the London divemaster page of Big Squid. Divemaster
is the first PADI professional qualification. If you love
diving and wish to make it a full or part time career then
this PADI course is for you. During the course your skill
and knowledge will develop to the professional level required
to assist in training divers on PADI courses and conducting
PADI programs such as Scuba Review, Discover snorkeling and
the PADI skin diver course.
On this course your dive skills and dive knowledge will reach
the level necessary to enter the PADI assistant instructor
and instructor courses. Upon completing the course you will
also be a qualified dive professional.

These tests are evaluated with a scoring system; a minimum
score is required to pass.
During this Divemaster internship you
will be required to work as part of the Big
squid team in Clapham
London SW4 and Battersea
, London SW11 and will need to attend open water training
sessions either in the UK or abroad. Regular London divemaster
locations include Wraysbury,
Portland,
Stoney
Cove , you can use any big squid UK
trip or foreign
trip to work towards completing your course
This course will develop your skills and you will emerge
as a competent and confident diving professional. You will
have access to all our pool
training sessions in London whilst on your course and
free membership of our London
diving Club.

| Survey a dive site and construct a map of it |
| Exchange all scuba equipment (except wetsuit and weights)
with a buddy whilst buddy breathing |
| Organize a real or simulated PADI discover snorkeling, Scuba

| The Divemaster internship will require you to take part in
the following. |

| One PADI open water diver course confined water session |
| Four confined water training sessions from any PADI course |
| One PADI advanced open water, Rescue diver or
PADI specialty open |
| water training session |
| Three additional open water dives from any PADI course |
| One supervising certified divers in training session |

| Requirements |
|
To enroll on the Divemaster course you must:
be certified as a PADI rescue diver or the equivalent from
another diver training agency. have logged 20 dives and be
18 years or above when your course is complete and before
you are certified you will be required to provide a medical
statement stating that you are fit to dive and will have completed
60 logged dives.

| This course is taken at your own pace, and lasts as long as
it takes to compete the above tasks. You can complete it in
2 months or take a year |

| Cost |
| The PADI Divemaster course costs £450.
This includes your PADI Divemaster manual, your PADI Divemaster
slates, use of tanks, air fills and weights. |
