PRIMARY CARE (CPR) course content
Emergency
First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches you how to deal with emergencies
that are immediately life threatening. You will focus on primary
care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development
and realistic scenario practice to make sure you have the knowledge,
understanding and confidence to use your skills. Here are the Primary

Secondary
Care (first aid) content
covers
injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening
or when local EMS is unavailable or delayed. You focus on secondary
assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development
and realistic scenario practice. The Secondary Care (first aid)
skills are:

Length/ScheduleThe
course takes about 6 hours to complete (see
the dates of the course here) and takes place at our training
facility in Clapham London here
our
scheduled course runs over 1 Saturday afternoon from 13.00-18.00 |

| You
may also participate in an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
training component, learn how to help a conscious choking adult
and have an emergency oxygen use orientation.

aid kit assembly, Allergic reactions, Bruises, Burns, Chemical burns,
Cuts, Diabetic problems, Dislocations and fractures, Electrical
injuries, Eye injuries, Heart attack, Seizures , Sprains, Stroke
, Frostbite, Heat exhaustion, Heatstroke, Hypothermia, Dental Injuries,
Poisoning, Insect stings and spider bites
There
is a final exam at the end of the course a pass mark of 75% is required
and once the course is completed it is valid for 2 years
The
program is designed for divers and non-divers, and also meets the
CPR and first aid prerequisite for The PADI Rescue Diver Course. |
